OVERVIEW & HISTORY

At Kindred, care and support are provided in the most appropriate
setting for patients recovering from illness or injury. Whether
patients are receiving care in one of the long-term acute care
hospitals, inpatient rehabilitation or behavioral health hospitals,
Kindred ensures recovery to the fullest extent possible.
Patients who receive care in the long-term acute care (LTAC) hospitals
are given the same in-depth care received in traditional hospitals or
intensive care units, but stay for extended recovery periods.
